I have been thinking about doing an After Action Report (AAR) saga for some time, so I think I will pursue this one. In this way, I can explore the normal strategies and perhaps some that may be somewhat abnormal. But it will be in good fun, Please let me know what you think of this AAR. I will be German, and my opponent (shall remain nameless) has agreed to the following game options:
-

-
You will notice that we have agreed to turn off the
OIL Consumption, which should lead to an interesting Game!

PS: I welcome your comments about this game and the strategies used.

Turn 1 (Sept 1, 1939)
The Axis Attacks Poland!
I decided on the traditional opening (I would guess this is comparable to the
Kings Gambit in chess)
-

-
Although I did leave Lodz Open, I think this is a strong opening move. My TECH investment was in Industry.

You must bring in a leader near Aalborg, otherwise it is quite hard to finish off Oslo during the Winter. Rundstedt will give effiency to the Bombers as well as to one of the INF attacking Oslo.
Good Point!

Turn 11 (March 19, 1940)
It's time for the Spring Offensive!
-
Central Sector:
-
Nice progress, as we implement the sitzkrieg plan to good use. However, we see the dreaded Franco-Anglo double line of defense well prepared for our forces.
=

-
Northern Sector
-
We will see if a reinforcement in the north will speed things up, also we are considering adding another General and more air as we have availability.

We land another unit to begin to clear this city and take Norway. At this point, we are looking at adding another general and Air support (May take a while) to finish this small theater.
