Fortnightly Historical Paired game challenge
I really enjoy playing my way through the historical scenarios, and I thought it will be interesting and fun to start a tournament of paired games, running though from Marathon 490BC, down through the ages.
Once every two weeks, if enough people are interested, I will be requesting participators to join the tournament, and then pair the competitors.
Competitors, on the first round will be drawn from the hat, after that competitors will be matched by their performance. That is drawn against the top and bottom three places near them, from those entering the round.
The competitors will not be required to join in every round, as the scores in the league will be by the game average (score totals divided by number of games).
The minimum requirement is to list your battle group scores, from the completed games. I will then credit the players with points, and list them for that scenario. Then amend their ongoing league position.
Opening each round, I hope to be able to dig up a few facts concerning that battle, and I hope others will be able to contribute.
Finally, I know I have a lack of tactics, so after the game it will be interesting to hear how both winners and losers approached each scenario, or even how favourable the die was.
If we can muster, eight people, I get the ball rolling.
