How does the player know what they are supposed to do on a multiplayer map as there is no briefing? I just played a weird one with French hexes everywhere and I was British vs German and no French visible anywhere. I didnt have a clue what the objective was or what was going on.

I've been cutting and pasting the rules into the chat dialogue of all my games (20 in progress, 46 documented completed ones) so far as a temporary solution.

The map you're talking about is Hylan Valley:
Another departure from the typical Panzer General scheme. The winner of this large scale scenario is the player who controls the most victory hexes at the end of the turn count. Each side starts with 2, and there are five neutral victory hexes, so there should never be a tie game here. Capturing all victory hexes results in an instant victory.

German Decisive Victory:
Capture all objectives.
German Victory:
Control at least 5 objectives at the end of the game.

British Decisive Victory:
Capture all objectives.
British Victory:
Control at least 5 objectives at the end of the game.
This thread has the exact objectives for all 10 MP maps:

And the lack of objective documentation in the game itself is Article #6 and #7 on The List. (Many single player campaign maps suffer from this problem as well, as people have been mentioning about Norway and Italy especially)

Ok so the French are neutral - are we planning a neutral flag for this as French is very confusing!

Do we have a plan for how to show this info yet?

There is a neutral flag (it's just blank white), but it wasn't working properly, so I've been using non-assigned nations as a temporary solution.
Neutral flags are working now though, so the next update (in addition to more balance changes), all the MP maps that need the neutral flags will get them.

As for displaying the info... the plan was to have a button and/or hotkey to recall a window (similar to control M and the chat window) that a player could reference at any time while playing a scenario.
Alternatively, this information would be displayed on the between turn 'splash page'.

Every scenario, including campaign, tutorials, and multiplayer, have their objective text written up, it just needs to be implemented.

I'm not just here to inflate my post count and troll the forums, contrary to popular belief. ;)

It would be nice if people can post there own briefings for multi-player games.
