Initial impressions

Quick first test of PC. Initial impressions v favourable. Impressive front screen, familiar (BA) entry screen. Worked out how to get to tutorial. Couple of moments staring at black 1st turn screen before left clicking. Graphics and map v. pretty. Some clumsy English in tutorial explanations (understandable - my grasp of any other lang. is minimal!). Shame that screens are frozen whilst instructions appear, leaving implementation to memory.
Enjoyed searching UI panel, although not all buttons immediately obvious (sleep?). Played tutorial, speed fine (I am playing on a Novatech 450Gb/ 4Gb machine with an Asus ENGT240 1Gb Nvidia graphics card).
I destroyed enemy units and captured cities, then how to get out of tutorial? Tried advancing turns to 10 and was told I had lost. Played again, attempted to end game via UI menu button and was warned that, if I did, I would lose. Obviously I must be stupid, but how do you exit?
30sec. interested and intrigued and impressed
5 min. enjoying find my way round the game, full of anticipation having previewed the scenario titles, etc.
15 min. enjoying tutorial, working out basic tactics
1hr. rather frustrated - see above
