Mountaineer first impressions

30 seconds: I liked the opening, cool but also abrupt. Map looks better than screenshots, but still hard to determine the scale. Is it standard each scenario? I need to look in the manual.
Icons are huge vs the map, sort of clunky. I would prefer more zoom levels also.
5 minutes: looks like many old PG issues have been resolved. I love being able to compare units and the various new things such as purchase.
First game: I was shocked when I had to repair units between scenarios in a campaign--good way to keep us honest with prestige.
I wish you could drive through an objective and it would be yours. Instead a unit must stop on it.
It was hard to tell which units are core units. The old PG made the strength # a different color.
Why can we still only upgrade in cities? Units should be able to do so anywhere as long as they are out of an enemy ZOC.
I love the ability to move units and shoot them later.
When tanks overrun a unit, you should get a bonus blitz move, like PG2.
It would be nice if we could know how many moves left for each time of victory.
I have an old Dell with Windows Vista, everything worked great! Good performance, not jumpy. Wish there was more epic music. I don't care for the old PG scenario briefings, no need to add them with the fake German accent.
UI is great, very easy and the pop up helps tremedously. Not sure about the library, either it is not finished or I did not navigate it well.
On to the next game!
