Charge then Rout?

A knowledgeable person commented in another post "Getting fragnmented is fine - thats allowed. Routing on contact is not possible and a bug, unles some other factor is feeding in. If you see this please report it. Going fragmented is just part of the game so a save of this wont show us anything."
Please look at the current game: DAG Dominate Roman vs Early Ostrogoths, featuring markw and JocaRamiro. the last move before the save was Burgundian Heavy Infantry charging Roman medium infantry. The charging unit routed immediately. I am pretty sure, it was not demoralized before the charge.

If it was around 50 percent casualties, it could have hit the mandatory route level.

Agreed. and I cannot swear to this, but I think it was the first time the unit encountered an enemy in the game.

Do you use the detailed combat display (P on the keyboard)? It would allow you to see the hits incurred.

I do not. Perhaps I will try.
I have put up this post in a hope that a tech person will take a look at my game - which happily is going in the proper direction - to see if, as suggested eleswhere, there is a bug in this area.

To be honest unless there is a strong reason to suspect a bug then the team don't have the time to look in to things like this. There is only one programmer on the Field of Glory series.

Two programmers, but even so as a unit can rout on contact through losses and the unit was near its mandatory rout level it really would not be worth the time invested.

If the game is still going on check the units losses & consider how much was before it charged.
