Release date postponed

Unfortunately we have to, as some of you already may have suspected due to the late opening of the beta (which has not yet opened), announce that the release date will be postponed. We had some polishing to to, a login system was required, we wanted to tune up the maps, graphics to be improved etc. This takes time. The good thing is that once the game comes out, it will be a much nicer experience for all of us :)

No exact release date has not yet been set. Approximately in 1 to 2 months from now.

We hope that you all have understanding for our situation and we appreciate your patience. Thanks.

In this day of age I don't complain about delays anymore. I am sick and tired paying a full price for a game just so i can be a beta tester. And when the game is fixed I would have lost all interest and forgoton about it.

huh, just stumbled across this title and it looks very interesting.

Like BBC Battlefield academy alot and it seems that turn based games with decent 3D graphic is supported by Slitherine alot more now.

Think, I will have a closer look at this promising title....

I registered as beta tester now too !
I see much potential in this kind of game and would be happy to support the testing. Was beta tester for Panzer Corps too.

In addition some activity here on the forums would be nice. Quite dead at the moment the place....

It's great that you registered for the beta :)

And yes, more activity is always nice, but it's understandable that it is as it is since we haven't posted much updates about our progress lately (it's actually not very interesting progress at the moment, mostly stuff that that doesn't affect the actual gameplay, like account management etc). We expect more activity once we have announced a new release date and starts getting some new trailers out there and when the beta is finally released. Hang in there!

ok, i stay tuned ;-)

Any rough idea, when the new release date is planned, i.e. Q3/2012 ?

Sorry, it's hard to say. It depends very much on the beta testing results. I'm hoping Q3, but Q4 is probably not very unlikely.

You speak of Q3/Q4 20102 ?
That´s quite a time ahead. Hope you make some advertising before so that the game gets some attention. Panzer Corps is a positive example here....

When is the beta planned ?

I'm talking about this year, we really hope for to get it out before 2012 :)

We are currently testing login and account connection for multiplayer and over-all multiplayer reliability and (adding ingame manuals an stuff to make the game somewhat easier to learn). Once we get all these things working, we will launch the beta.

We like the game so much that we have decided to keep it inhouse-only

No but right now we are doing Quality Assurance and Fine Tuning. Unfortunately these things take time. I can assure you though that there is nothing else we wants more then to give you guys a chance to test the game at this stage. We are dying to hear what you think!

We are doing some in-house QA too and I can proudly announce myself as the last Team Assault tournament Champion! It was my favorite tournament this far with a wide range of different armies. I played with my Fallschirm-Panzer-Division-1 army which is an quality based army. I meet one of our 3D artists that tried an new shocking Flame-Thrower-ambush tactic which cost me dearly but in the end my FG42's could prevail. Also our animator Siege attended with his normal Sniper + mines armies that always is a thorn in my everyday happiness.

But now I am just teasing , I promise to get back to you guys as quickly as we know an date.
