White (path) arrows

Just played on a large map and found the "white Arrow paths" to be a nusiance, partically on a large map, they make slewing around the map a pain. The slew direction seems to go where it's last pointed at.
ie: select unit you want to move, now look for a destination, (slew), map becomes very jumpy and tends to have a mind of its own. It can be overcome but its a pain.

I haven't experienced any performance issues with the arrows but I do think they and the white dots with air movement obscure the map too much. Can they be made more opaque? I do like the idea (except for air, which move in a straight line even when the arrow shows 2 sides of a triangle) but just less obtrusive.

Rudankort: MS XP Home SP3 (2002), Celeron 2.53 Ghz, 2 Gb Ram, Using external drive for gaming w 250 Gbs and 222 Gbs Available. 20" wide screen.
I was running the Overlord Scenario as Allies.
Am presently running Western France as Allies and I don't seem to see this problem as yet, more on this as I progress. Will also run the Overlord on Win7 Pro a little later, will post results soon.

Rudankort: Ran entire "Overlord" scenario on my Win7pro version (laptop)with 13" screen and I'm happy to report, NO PROBLEM with white arrows.
Believe prob was due to using external drive and Large screen on a stock XP machine.
Really found this enjoyable. Now back to Allies on Western front. Hehehe were off the beach now
