I think the movement arrows are a major improvement.
The rugged defence notification is better but not so sure of the colour as it is not as obvious as I would like.

The notification of new equipment is a good thing at the start.

I've only played the Polish scenario in the campaign and just started Norway. The much weaker Polish units are now a walkover. Not sure if this is good or bad.

Agreed.
The animation is nice and smooth but it could be bigger for my taste/screen. Perhaps red color would help also.
