Multiplayer Cheat

Hello,

We can kill task in task manager before game is saved then retry some part of turn.

Solution : add a feature in multiplayer window that list date/hour/mn/sec for the last 10 logins for a selected saved game.

This, and other MP issues, have been noted and intentionally left vague in The Bug Thread, item#53.

We are aware of this issue, but you probably shouldn't announce it for the whole world to use and abuse until we do address it. :!:

You may do that but the server tracks everything you do. We monitor for mis matches between downloads and uploads and these are tracked and warnings willbe issued if they occur. This could lead to temporary or permanent banning from the server.

E.g. I can see in your game vs Nomercu (48889 ) that you have attempted this cheat 10 times, with 19 downloads and 9 uploads.

I can see in your other game against Nomecu in Norway you have attemtped this cheat 4 times with 8 downloads and 4 uploads. I can see every move you made, when you made and if it was an attempt at cheating.

As we are in Beta we are not monitoring these stats but be warned we will be turning on the monitoring very soon, so if people are caught doing this it will be treated very seriously!

Yes i try to test :

- random in combat after a crash/download
result : combat result change if you change sequence between few combats, like solo game

- Para drop after a crash/download
result : drop in same hex if you dont move another unit before like solo game

- lost connexion
result : if you lost connexion, you lost your turn and you cant go back to game to save later after you restart internet box

Why you prefer monitoring instead adding features that permit player control themselves saved games ?

Yes it does Kerensky!

We will be adding more cheat detection & prevention as we do on all the games using the PBEM++ system.

One thign you can be sure of - we are watching you ;)

rofl, oh yea, I'm well aware of that. :D

In my defense, I was doing it to more fully document the 'attack but not deal or receive damage' bug you mentioned. It's now formally #90 in The Bug Thread, and we figured out it seems to be directly related to aircraft who attack naval vessels. They are using 2 ammo per shot, which causes this bug when they only have 1 ammo left.

Feel free to scan all my other MP games, they should be nice and clean. :)
