No Me 262?

In a couple of games I've maxed out Axis air research and not getting the Me 262 image? Is this a change?

Even the British get a dorky-looking jet at the highest air tech levels. (If there are any fans of the aircraft reading this, know that I'm writing tongue-in-cheek.)

No. You get tech for the fighters from several areas:
* Dogfight: 6
* Close air support: 3
* Strategic operations: 3
* ASW: 3
* Organization: 6
For a total of 21.
According to the formula you need 18 upgrades to get the Me262. You have 12 upgrades from air upgrades. You probably have 4 or 5 organization upgrades. That's 16 or 17. To get 18 you need 1 or 2 ASW as well. If you don't research naval tech you may not get that. First ASW upgrade comes at tech 2 and the second at tech 3. The last comes at tech 5.
So you see that you will probably not get the Me262 until late in the game despite having maxed out air tech in 1942. You won't get organization tech 5 until 1943-1944 and then you need 1 tech in ASW as well.

To see jet plane its not enough to max AIR tech. You also need to get high (5 i guess) organisation level, so sum of all applied to unit upgrades will be larger then certain number and the skin will change.

Got it. Have the organization but not the ASW.
