Hi ya happily playing away after getting my key on the weekend acouple of things I have noticed while in Frnace 1940 after Norway:

(a) my 155 artillery doesn't seem to be providing defensive fire across the river into a third hex from whence a infantry then later armoured attack comes from unlike the AI where it does

(b) while going to upgrade units such as tanks for PZII's to 38t's or similar I noticed you pay the same cost as a whole new one, is the intentional or on the list of tweeks because I would have thought you would have paid for the difference between the two and or a little extra for experience or have your troops downgraded a little while they get used to their new kit.

Arty units provide defensive fire only to units standing next to them.

Upgrade is made expensive intentionally, so that you upgrade your units when it is necessary for your mission, not just because new equipment becomes available.
