I have read in an internet article that the game will not have PBEM, but I see in the Matrixgames game's homepage "Server-based PBEM". Can someone clarify this?

Thnx in advance.

It wont have PBEM - we'll get the product page corrected. The game relies on direct connection as it is too fast paced with turns too short for PBEM.

Yes, sending turns by email would not be very effective for Team Assault. The game is designed to have a continuous flow while playing both single and multiplayer, with squads being mixed in order during turn based on their current morale and leadership qualities. We believe it would only be frustrating. Normally, it does not take much time to activate and carry out the orders for a single squad, and after that it might be your opponent's turn to act again. If you are afraid of having to wait for too long for slow players to act, there is always an option for time limited activations (which is not the standard setting though).

But can you save a game and then pick it up later? In other words, one of the two players can’t continue playing any longer so you save it until some later time to start it up again.

Nope, you can't.

I suggest that if you're new to the game, go for low starting resources and victory score limit so that the game doesn't take too long if you are in a hurry or might have to leave within the hour. For us who are more familiar with the game by now, an ordinary game takes between 30 and 60 minutes.
