Hello, its a week now since I cannot play anymore multiplayer games. When I launched the game the opening windows keeps telling me that I'm playing offline.
I tried to reinstall the game but things get even worse because now I'm stucked with the version 1.3 of the game and I can't upgrade it anymore...Its not my firewall (COMODO) because I shutted it down to make a test with no result.

Something on your system is preventing the game from connecting with the server.

What else do you have besides the firewall? What OS?

I have Windows XP service pack3, and Avira Antivir Personal anti virus.

I have XP SP3, Zonealarm and avast and just now tried and connected without a problem.

See if you can exclude the updater.exe and unpdater2.exe from blocking in your firewall and av.

I have managed to allow my firewall to accept updater as a task allowed but for avast there is no option for that.

You'll also need to allow the main game EXE to access the internet through any firewalls you have running. Be sure that you have turned off the Windows firewall as well as set up your other firewall software.

I have desactivated Windows's firewall and allowed the main exe of the game to COMODO (firewall) to no result. It keeps telling me that I'm playing offline and I cannot upgrade my game to the latest patch...

Well it seems that the problem is more global because I just realized that the other game I owned History great battles medieval has the same issue telling me that I'm playing offline...That is very strange because I can play other games (not from Slitherine) online without any problems.

Are you sure your Avira doesn't have a firewall component, or network defence type, mode? We use standard HTTP connections on the launcher and updater etc, to make things simpler - and we don't have a lot of issues with people connecting so far as we know.

I would suggest that you disable all firewalls, AV, etc and see if that helps. Having said that, it can be very tough to actually disable them all - sometimes they will say they are disabled, but still interfere.

You might get some more information from the Security Center (accessed from the Control Panel) about what Windows thinks is going on with firewalls etc - sometimes they integrate and it will tell you whether anything is running.

I have disabled all firewalls (windows and comodo) and desactivated Avira (at least the control center telling me so), alas to no result, both History great battles medieval and battlefield academy keeps telling me that I'm playing offline and that I musst check my internet connections.

Well I tried to restore my system to a previous date (two weeks earlier) and it solved the problem of History Great Battles medieval but now thing goes even worse for Battlefield Academy because I cant launch the game anymore, a windows keeps open telling me "version mismatch (0)". I tried to reinstall the game but the issue persist!!! :(

Glad you are up an running! Sometimes it's very tough to work out what in the combo of firewalls and AVs might be causing issues.
