I played DBM regularly from its introduction but over the years gradually lost interest in it and wargaming in general . After a break of a couple of years and now in the happy position of much more leisure time available I'm now looking to restart. I've only just heard of AOW (shows I've been out of touch I suppose) but from what I've read on this site I'm very interested. Having read that some games were played at Usk (I assume at the DBM competition?) I wondered whether any more were planned at similar events or wargames shows so that I, and others, might view the product (albeit unfinished perhaps) at first hand being played by people familiar with the new mechanisms?

There is due to be an Art of War beta 'tournament' at the Royal Armouries in Leeds on the weekend of the 3rd 4th of March. Well over 20 players are expected so if you can find the time this might be just what you are looking for.

Is there any plans for AoW at Devizes this July?

Not at present as far as I know, but ask the organisers would be my suggestion. If there is an obvious demand they may wish to get in touch with the developers to see if it is possible.
