SU-152

I'm not sure why the SU-152 is the most expensive AT the communists own. It is out-performed by its closest two rivals, with the only better stats being a +2 to soft-targets, and a sliver more of fuel.
It's no real game breaker, but just seems odd to me.

They are absolutely devastating to infantry.
I played a MP game where the other side built 3 of them.
Half my army was useless.

Mmm, these are supposed to be AT units though.

8 SA, 0 CD, I don't see the problem.
Against entrenched HW infantry, they fight at 7-2 odds (suicidal)
Against HW infantry in the open, they fight at 1-3 odds (positive but not cripplingly so)
I don't see the problem. Not to mention their pitiful ammo reserve quickly makes them useless. Their price at 162 is a bit low though, but as Uran said elsewhere, the only faction to have undergone extensive price balancing so far is the Germans.

I had no problems against the Su-152 ... using expierienced Tanks against them was an easy match.
Witch was the role of the Su-152, Tank Destroyer or Assault Gun supporting Infantry Attacks?

Well, I suppose if this gun were based on an Assault-Gun class, then the pricing could be argued to be ok. I guess this almost begs the question if there SHOULD be an assault-gun class.

The Su-152 never used armor piercing shells.
It was a big mobile howitzer.
Sometimes the shock was so bad the tank crews had to abandon their tanks. Then the tank was captured.
Get an Su-152 with a heavy Art behind it and it well against entrench HW infantry.
Steakenglisch : playing against the AI is completely different.
Any of your experienced units can attack well. However you did have the correct counter measure to Su-152's. Tanks!
But that leaves your tanks open to first attack from Russian tanks. Always a give and take in strategy.
