Gents;

I have looked everywhere [so I think] trying to find what the large capital letter stand for in the various army lists. I see large block capital M's, S', P's, PD',s with no explanation as to what they mean. Also, it seems as if [for instance], you are forced into taking a minimum of a certain type [usually 3, and usually the first troop type on the list], which prevents you from taking an alternate of that troop type. [For instance, on the Principate Roman list, you must take '3 'units' of Superior Armored Legionaries', even though you can build a list from say '260 AD, that only has Average Protected Legionaries..........at least, in the tabletop rules, you can do this. But I cannot minus out the '3' down to 0, to try and take all Average Protected Legionaries.

I am sure there is an explanation, but dang if I can find it. Thanks for your help.

Hello!

S: can dismount ( hover the cursor on the unit name to see what they dismount into)
PD: can buy stakes
M: mixed units having a rear rank of light foot or medium foot missle weapons (note there is no way to tell in the DAg if its light or medium except by the unit graphic, 1 its light 2 medium)

P: ???? where did you see that ?

I just checked out the DAg for 260 principiates , you can select all average, basically that list has a minima of 4 legions and the game has thoughtfully purchased 4 superiors for you
You cant have less than 4 so you need to buy four average ist and THEN delete (the minus key) the superiors. If you have problems make sure you leader(s) isnt in a unit of a type you are trying to reduce to zero, switch the leader to another type ist and then you will be allset .

Hope this helps, cheers!

You can change that, should be able to buy them in average or Equites as well...
