Axis Minor Units

Well I don't know. Seems I never find myself wanting to buy Italian units because there is always a German equivalent that is better. While this may be more historically accurate, it sort of makes the unit list available during purchase rather redundant.

There's a couple ideas I had to make the minor units more playable, but I'm wondering if I have missed something?

There should be an Italian Anti-Tank unit at the cost of 12 prestige points.

They were ideal to spam the map in the Husky scenario back in PG :)

I had been thinking, minors should perhaps get purchased at half-price, or some other such gimmick to make them appealing. On the other hand, perhaps we should make them gain experience at a 100% penalty to balance it out.

The other alternative, was to do like in PGIII where you randomly get stuff assorted into your motor-pool, but that would require too many changes I think to the current engine.

Well the campaign design doesn't leave much room for the minor axis nations, but I can personally assure you at least one will see better representation in Multiplayer Map Pack #1, which should be ready by next BETA, and of course in the long term future too.

A simple solution has sprung to mind. Our slots could consist of primarily the FATHERLAND units, but we could have a specialized slot where only a minor can fill, and those could expand as the campaign progresses.

Or we should be able to have allied units in our core (like hungarian inf or cavalry)
