Beta Co-ordinators wanted

Hi guys,

due to the voume of feedback it would be good to get some help from members of the beta team to help filter the feedback and make sure we dont miss anything.

To do this you'll need to be able to dedicate a fair bit of time to read through the forum messages and get up to speed fully on all the gameplay elements. You'd need to be organised and be a good communicator. You'd have to filter through the requests to select them all and manage a list with them in. You'd also need to find any bug reports and list them somewhere for the team to fix them.

If this is of interest then please post here letting us know why ou think you'd make a good beta co-ordinator. There is a lot to do so having more than one is definitely possible/desirable.

Thanks!

Can you guess as to the time commitment involved? I would love to help out, but family and professional obligations do limit my available time and I wouldn't want to short-change the development team.

I think it would be a few hours a week. Ideally an hour a day to keep an eye on things but if there are a few of you then alternating days would be fine.

I might be able to help. However i would not really be able to start on it until about Monday of next week. So in other words, if you have a couple volunteers, I could add my name to that pool.

Not bad at all. If you don't mind the work done evenings, nights and weekends then I'm a willing contributor. Count me in.

Ian, I'd love to help in any way possible. I've been checking the forums several times a day since I became a beta tester, so I have no problem with the time commitment. Just let me know!

Thanks guys

you 3 would be great to have to help out. I'll get you set up and be back in contact.

We'll also be looking for moderators for the public forum when the game goes live. So anyone interested in that let me know!

Actually I read all the posts everyday.

I try to refrain from posting about each item.

Some information is opinions others are repeats of old bugs from weeks ago.

If there was something not on the bug list I would add it.

The only thing I have seen is: "the units not upgrading or being replaced in some scenario's in .98 beta.

It's been confirmed twice by two people.

I have not seen this problem.

I think we should add this item to confirm reports.

You guys are doing a great job as can be seen from the many pages of bug reports but there may be days when a person or persons are away so having a backup is always useful. There are also bound to be times when people have holidays. We also only have half the beta team started so feedback could double when they are all allowed in!

Razz would you like to be a mod/co-ordinator as you're performing the role already :)

We're expecting this to be the most successful game we've ever released and want to try and get a team in place for when the game goes live who are able to help us sort through the feedback.

We also don't want you guys working yourselves to death - this is supposed to be fun so spreading the load will heopfully help to maintain the balance!

We appreciate everything you guys are doing and woudl not be abel to make this game half as good without you!

I'd like to throw my name in the hat to help out. I can work most evenings (USA, Pacific Time).

Let me know where you need it most.

While we are setting this up officially if you anyone who wants to be involved can unofficially patrol the forums looking for any feature requests and bug reports and transfering them to the appropruate place that would be great.

If you can also help answer questions from players if you know the answers that would also help. As we get new testers in a lot of them are likely to have basic questions that you will know about. This saves the team replying and gives them valuable time to work on more features!
