We are getting very close to the point where we are going to start Beta testing the Mac version. If you are interested in testing the Mac version, then please let me know in this thread and we can put together a strike team :).

I am hoping that the game will support 10.5 and above. It will require a Mac running an Intel processor and with a 3D graphics card.

Cheers

Not much time but I could do some tests I guess.

I have an iMac 3.06 GHz, ATI Radeon HD 4670 256 MB so I could at least confirm if the hardware is compatible. No experience with the PC version. (play Field of Glory on the Mac)

Hi,

I would like to try this out on the Mac side. I am on the dev team for CEAW Grand Strategy. Also I might be able to get some

more testers from a beta group of mac players.

Count me in. I've played a few of your games and tested for other Mac companies.

Thanks for all the replies so far. Once we have a Beta version ready to go, I'll set up a small Beta test and get you all the details via emails.

Hi guys - well, we are ready to get an Alpha version out for some initial testing. To begin the process, I need you to go to the beta test page and sign up for the Battlefield Academy beta. Once you are signed up, I will probably grab the first couple of people on the list and get them this alpha version for some initial testing. If there are no showstopping bugs or problems, then we will add in the rest of the group and get your feedback!

The beta signup can be accessed from the Resources link at the top, or from

http://www.slitherine.com/beta_test

Looking forward to the feedback!

Cheers

Is there any chance that a Mac version could be made to work on linux?

Hmmm - I'd not considered that. There is a fair amount of stuff (like the launcher and text rendering) which would need to be redone. I think it would depend on the demand for it. Perhaps you can put out some feelers and get a poll going? If there is enough interest I can take a look at the scope of the task.

That said, I would expect you could run BA under Wine anyway?

I have sent Private Messages to the first 2 beta testers. So please check your PMs! Once we are happy there are no showstopper bugs, we will add more interested beta testers. If you are interested in testing the Mac version, then register for the BA Beta programme using the Resources link at the top of the page!

Cheers
