Wartorn a two day wargames show this June in Scarborough has room for gaming tables on 25 n 26th june. Would anyone fancy a one day 650pt 3 game bash on saturday 25th. We could make it a two dayer if enough interest and or combine with FOG-r. Yes i know this clashes with Rampage so is aimed at those not going down south. Open to other ideas too- 1600 pts doubles for example

Hi Paul

Yes the Lynne and I would be interested in a week-end by the sea - only me playing that is!

great stuff chaps

4 positives makes it viable for everyone doesnt it. So only question how we structure it. I know opening up for discussion will get us all in knots but as this is a bit of fun we can try match what the players want with want goes on.

So one day 650pts 3 games
or would you wish to expand into the sunday too
or play a different format for something different ie
2 games 1000 pt singles
large doubles (1200/1600 pts on a 9ft table)
open or themed
pre set terrain

At the moment we go for 650pts 3 games on the sat but now is the time to decide. By the way various hotels are giving discounts i think they should be on the website. I will check. the Grand is close by and is meant to be doing a reasonable offer. I live 15 miles up the road and may have one bed free if i dont stay in scarborough over night.

How about 650 play test version whatever we are up to now. This means we could also bring more than one army more easily to test more of the rules. I do believe those of us interested so far are in the beta. I am also happy to do Sunday but would not want to finish too late, so 2 games sunday.

I'd vote for 650 points and a 1-dayer and am equally happy with V1 or V2.

The grand did 3 rooms for £105 plus breakfast for my relatives last weekend. They also have 365 rooms so you should be able to get in. There is a Travelodge acdross the road from the grand which is also fairly cheap. Bothn 10 mins from the venue.

grand is doing deals - go direct and mention the weekend. Sunningdale hotel is cheaper £28 but is a car drive across town

one day 650pts on saturday 3 games looks doable, current version preferable (using hammytastic set up etc)- those who wish to play sunday could do something too till just after lunch

Is someone going to check the armies or are we going to trust each other?

Fun!! Pah I didn't start wargaming to have fun!
What about same list but two (or three) different versions which you can choose when you know what your opponant has got?

Well I'll tell you which of my three I am using and you can then say which version of your single list you will use. Sounds fair.

i will act as list checker.

But, alternativley, each player could roll a dice. Winner declares their army first then loser declares theirs. Then both write their army list there and then in a ten minute window. And then start the game as normal. (or am i getting carried away)

Please could people confirm their attendance so i can sort tables out etc and put runners and riders up for robert
