Many thanks for the invite to join the beta test! I still keep an old laptop solely for the purpose of enjoying Allied General and Panzer General.

30sec: very good overall impression-coloring and graphics excellent. Very pleased that the screens moved quickly enough to the main screen. My only negative reaction was to the very first screen in that the left
side detracted from the overall appearance. Music was good.

5min: again overall impression very good;easily understood. Scenario screen- text and play/cancel too small given all the empty space. Fill the page with multiple columns, larger text and eliminate the need to scroll to access only one more line of text. UI very intuitive . Thought that the toggle and next unit buttons were small given the empty space under the jump map. Prefer left mouse click for movement as well. Settings- liked variable hex outlines, the "unit glow" difference was virtually imperceptible.

1 Hour: movement speed too fast; that also made sounds too short. Sounds: tanks good, trucks sounded almost plane-like and foot just seemed off. Again, if they were longer to match longer movement they might sound better. Combat animations were very good but processed too fast during the AI turn to follow when more than 2 units were involved. Scrolls too fast. Game Performance was fine-no hangups or crashes (Windows 7,intel quad 4 at 2.5ghz, 4G ram and 1G nvidia card). Symbols on the jump map could be better distinguished. Unit stats should include a reference to experience(where else is it clearly found?), additionally the popup text when over replacements/elite buttons was difficult to decipher. Combat values directly under unit were especially hard to read once there was a slash.

Additional: not sure if there are degrees of victory-major,minor etc. but that would make sense. Would like the ability to minimize the game without saving and exiting entirely. Would definitely like to be able to quickly compare units on the purchase screen without going back and forth; can't unit stats (at least some) be added to the unit box. I would prefer that even if it means multiple pages of a category when the unit choices become too numerous to fit on one page. Lastly, was surprised when in tutorial 3, it jumped to the victory screen after 9 turns- enemy units were still on the map and 3 objectives were not yet taken. Unless mentioned , I was very pleased with what I saw so far.

More to follow as I continue to enjoy the experience!
