My first 5 minutes...

I know next to nothing about this game or its antecedents. I have the virtue of being a total noob in that respect. My perspective on wargames and my biases are formed chiefly by the Tiller - HPS style.
My first 5 minutes:
Sound on splash screen is very choppy. (I have a good system, no hardware problems. ) I tested the splash .wmv independently and the sound is fine when run in Windows Media player.
There is too much dead space in the scenario selection screen. Suggest that the scenario list should be placed in multiple columns. The player shouldn't have to scroll to an invisible bottom to select side, difficulty, etc.
I clicked on the 1st Tutorial. There was no text introduction, no help apparent. Wearing my noob hat, I didn't have a clue what to do. I fiddled for a few minutes, then went into the game files in hopes of finding some introductory material. No luck.
Another note on cosmetics: don't stylize the Nazi eagle on the upper right of the game screen to avoid displaying the swastika. It's inauthentic and makes me distrust the designers respect for history and therefore the game itself. If you're not comfortable showing a swastike, use a Maltese cross or get rid of the eagle altogether.
