Combat of the Thirty, 1351

Something a bit different. It is from the Breton War of Succession which is probably best understood as part of the Hundred Years War between England and France. Jean de Beaumanoir, Constable of Brittany and supporter of the French candidate for the Breton crown Charles de Blois, challenged Robert Bramborough, the English captain of Ploermel castle and supporter of Jean de Montfort's claim to the succession. The two protagonists with 29 other knights on each side fought a combat at the "Halfway Oak" between Josselin and Ploermel on 26 March 1351.
