Machinov's first impressions

Things I like (relative to PG):
1. Air combat without "surrounding" strategies.
2. Air spotting restricted to the destination area.
3. Two levels of visual field controlled by the mouse wheel. Although in the large visual field (i.e. small units) the unit icons should change to others more visible/easy-to-follow (such as MH Europe at War does).
Things I do not like:
1. Left and right click stuff to select and move units. It is very confusing and unnecessary. It seems it is a common way of doing things nowadays. However, I do feel it uncomfortable.
2. Combat animation is rather poor and should be optional.
3. AI seems poor as well (I acknowledge this is a difficult issue)
…Anyway, I think you are doing a great work guys!
More comments to come!!

We have released the last version (0.94a) specifically to collect feedback and improve our combat effects. So, could you please be a bit more specific on this? What you don't like? Also, a related question. It is not difficult to provide an option to turn off combat effects, but how will the combat look then? Strength numbers of the units change and that's all?

I don't argue with your assessment.

But here again, it would be useful if you could describe the biggest problems you see in the AI department. Then we might be able to better prioritize агкерук work on the AI.

Sorry!! I haven't looked at the last update yet! I will tell you back then...

Well, as I said, this is a difficult issue. I will tell you more soon...but I want to try a few more scenarios first

Fair enough. Take your time.

There has been some struggling with the change to a Right Click interface from previous PG titles which was Left Click based. This change was made to solve several issues, but also to conform Panzer Corps to behave in a manner more fitting other moderns games(as you pointed out), even if this method differs from previous PG titles.
We firmly believe that the new right click structure is superior in form and function(but it does take a little getting used to). We may include an option for players too uncomfortable with this format to revert to the old scheme though, if it becomes too much of a problem. Additionally, we intend to expand the current tutorial to help ease players into this new scheme. Currently, the transition can be a bit jarring.

The transition to right-clicking did give me some troubles at first. But I am actually finding the more I play PC the more I get used to the right-click. Still, I agree that giving the option of using the "classic" interface would be a nice touch for players who have a hard time adjusting.
