Game hanging at end of turn

Hi Pip / Iain

Couple of things ...

I'm just starting a game - Beta Winter Village (Random) vs DJDalton 27 Apr 2011 08:23 - which is hanging at the end of the DJDalton's first turn as the Allies (showing 100% complete). He put in a message saying it took him 2 goes to send. Please can you have a look and see if it's fixable. If not then please delete.

Also, a bit of housekeeping. I've got 2 dead games: Unknown scenario vs nitetrain from 16 Jan 2011 15:47 and Town Fight vs Abwerhschlacht from 23 Mar 2011 17:16. Please can you delete both games. Nitetrain isn't playing currently and was OK for it to be deleted. I've contacted Abwerhschlacht with no response about the other game.

Thanks

Hi,

Just a bit of info on the hang -

I finished my turn and ended the move - however, the screen went dark (like it was night) as it does sometimes, with all units in original positions. What this normally means is that the turn has uploaded but hasn't registered with the game (when you 'discard' the turn, you find out it has already gone through). This has happened to me a number of times.

However, I pressed 'save the turn for later', and all the units reset their positions and I was able to re-take the turn.

Hope somebody finds this helpful

Yup - that is the cause, when anything gets done post a failure it messes up the replay totally. The next update (watch the skies!) prevents that from being possible.

I'll roll back/delete the games as appropriate.

Thanks guys

Cheers

Just tried to play the turn again ... no luck, still goes to 100% and then hangs with the men doing a continuous jig. Did notice that the game gets up to 60 or 70% very quickly. Any thoughts Pip?

Thanks for deleting the old games. Makes everything neat and tidy :)

Hmmm - it shouldn't be your turn? Or was the turn replayed and still failed? That's wierd.

Cheers

Sorry don't know if the turn had been replayed by djddalton - the message at the start was something like 'rolled back', which I thought you'd added.

I have deleted it. Publicly, to show the other turns what happens if you refuse to complete.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Cheers
