From the ads and blurbs this title seems to be for devices with Tegra only...but on the market it is downloadable/purchasable for my Captivate (non-Tegra) and says it is "tegra optimized". Does this mean that it will run on non-Tegra phones/tablets...but just better on Tegra?

It is supposed to be locked to Tegra 2 devices only so it would not run on your device I am afraid. I will double check with the team but I woudl say please don't buy it for now.

...If I buy it anyway...then that means you will have to support it...sorry, those are the rules ;)

...I have to say this is very disappointing, I was looking forward to some Android love from slitherine and I got left holding a flower but my date won't dance with me... There are other phones that have 3D and fast processors (like my Captivate Samsung Galaxy S)...they are pretty too...(guess the Tegra puts out...)

Platform fragmentation is a problem we are coming across as we venture into Android more. It's not really practical to try and deal with all the variations that manufacturers want to put out there - Tegra is a platform with some great HW and solid swing behind it, hence our aiming toward it. Hopefully things will standardise over time. We definitely want to give the platform even more love, but apparently every girl needs a different kind of flower...

Cheers
