Overlap query

A quey regarding the set up below. A unit of Determined Horse has contacted 2 units of foot (A + B)in the impact phase by stepping forward.
The query regards the Determined Horse element outlined in blue. Can it provide an overlap in the melee phase against foot unit B? It is in an overlap position, but not in the front rank.
