Installing FOG

Hi
I bought a copy of FOG at Salute and just got round to installing it today except,
it asks me to enter a serial number during the process. I checked the box and at the back of the inset booklet I found a 16 digit number in this format
xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx which I entered, and then got an error so I did it again but without the hyphen between the blocks of digits but it still came back with an incorrect code.
Can anyone help?

After waiting most of the day I decided to try installing the game again. This time it accepted the code. Oh well
