Could we see the rolls & factors in the combat log during an evade?

It is just one die roll really, but I think I can show it. :)

I would really like it if evade had diminishing returns.
First evade has 50%
Chance to evade a second time in the same turn, 30%
Chance to evade a third time in the same turn, 10%

Or something like that.

I strongly recommend that the likelyhood of evading a DD attack diminish with each attack. To keep the same percent statistically infers each Destroyer (DD) attack is independent, i.e., the DDs are not working together (when we know they should be). The problem is: What is the starting (first) percentage? Some considerations:
1) We know all the subs will be submerged at periscope depth so the only real "spotters" should be the DDs at close (1 hex?) range with their sonar; or bomber aircraft, also at close range.
2) The bombers would make independent attacks so their evade percent (50?) should remain fixed.
3) If in the subs phasing turn it does not attack a target (none available/waiting on a better target)-
Then the sub should have the option of automatically evading the first DD to spot it, or attacking the DD. Subsequent DD attacks would start the evade (50) percent decline.
If the attacked a target in its phasing turn, then the first DD to spot it would start the evade percent decline with no automatic evade/attack option.

I strongly agree. It always seemed strange to have a sub surrounded by six DD units, only to have the sub evade four or five out of six attacks. You'd think those destroyers would get a good read on the sub's location after all those attacks.

They are running silent and deep.

You can not find them.

Radar was not good until later in the war.

Radar ? You probably meant Sonar ? :?

Subs running silent and deep can not see or attack. And probably shouldn't be located except when a DD tries to enter their hex. And the evade probability
ought to be 90.
