When you have CV and you charge a mixed BG of Medium foots with LF in the 3rd rank and hit only one front base, does he count one dice for the LF base?
When you hit that same kind of BG but with 2 of your BG, see the scheme:

CVCV CVCV
CVCV CVCV
MFMFMF
LFMFLF

The umpire said at impact, both LF gives one dice. please confirm or disagree.

LF get one dice for each 2 bases against battle troops. So if one shoots they get 1 dice; 2 get 1 dice; 3 get 2 dice; etc

Assuming that the mixed BG of MF/LF is one BG of 4MF + 2LF then I think the umpire was wrong.
At the top of page 94 it says 'If a BG which is losing shooting or close combat dice due to being... light foot...is fighting against more than one enemy BG, first determine the total dice then apportion the lost dice'.

he said, as the mixed BG fight 2 ennemies, and that where in impact phase it is treated as a close combat for the purpose of determining how many dices to roll, then its one dice per ennemy. He also said, if it was only one ennmy it would be 1 dice for the 2 bases of LF. As he's the top ELO, i didn't argue, thinking that he has the divine link to the creators.

Thx

Hi Phil,

Sorry to sidetrack but you are not guarding the tent anymore, you own the tent and can tell the tent guard what to do!

I agree the umpire was wrong.

How is this fundamentally any different to a disrupted 4 base BG fighting two opponents? Following that logic, you would decide that there were 2 bases against each opponent, therefore two dice against each opponent, therefore in neither case are there at least 3 dice so you don't lose any.

What you describe was a commonly held view at one time. But as others have suggested a careful reading of the rules...
High ELO
Always ask for a citation as its good habit to read the rules.
