Hidden submarine location reveal bug

When we click on a naval unit (or a land/air unit in transport mode), the screen highlights (with dots) the movement range for that particular unit. And hexes within movement range, but outside of a naval unit's sighting range, are shaded dark. BUT... if there is a hidden enemy submarine in one of those hexes that is within movement range but outside of the naval unit's sighting range, the hex is light-colored. Therefore it stands out. It reveals to the player who is preparing to move his naval unit that an unseen enemy sub is lurking in that hex, outside of sighting range, but light-colored as if it were within sighting range.

Have others noticed this bug? I'm playing with the latest version (2.00aj) on the Mac.

I have tried to recreate this, but have not been able to. Using PC here.
Has it happened more than once?
Yes, please...

... fix this, because JimR is laying waste to my subs!

It doesn't happen consistently. The next time it does I will take a screenshot and, using my rudimentary technical skills, will attempt to post it on the forum. As for my worthy opponent metolius, rest assured that the Allies are sportsmanlike and do not exploit this bug on those occasions when it (like the hidden subs) surfaces!

I've seen this a few times too and it doesn't happen consistently. So it's very hard to track down. It's similar to the FOW bug regarding units in Libya near Sevastopol.
It's nothing in the code that should indicate such behavior so there must be a glitch somewhere. I've seen the same happening in the vanilla game as well so I believe it's a vanilla game glitch. Since it happens so rarely we haven't spent a lot of effort trying to find out what's happening.
