Help with artillery numbers

As I near the end of my 800+ points of 25mm Roundheads and begin my Royalists, I have been looking at troop numbers in several battles with a view to refighting them on my tabletop.
While there is a scale of 100 to 250 men per base, there is no mention of artillery numbers.
I think that 100 men to a base will be the scale that will best suit most of the battles I am looking at, so assuming this could someone please help with an artillery ratio?
Thanks in anticipation

perhaps a two gun BG per battery listed? I would think that each arty BG in the army lists represents a battery, and in both lists they only get 2 gun BG's so it works out rather conveniently

Thanks for the reply, but I have the actual numbers of artillery at each battle and was looking at now to translate those numbers into models.
Help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

I guess your numbers are not listed by how many guns per battery then. For some reason I think in past rule sets something like 5 guns per base seems to stick in my mind... not sure if that makes much sense.

If you don't exceed the number of bases permitted by the army list, you won't go far wrong. There is no representational scale specified for artillery, so you seek it in vain.

And being honest the numbers that went into the army lists are mostly on what felt right rather than any "scientific" approach
I'd suggest that is the way to go with refights as well.

Gentlemen & Nik,
Thank you for your replies.
Largest number of guns in one battle is 12 of various sizes, so no great problem.
