I apologize if these have been covered already. I don't frequent this forum that often.

1. If a battlewagon with a lt. artillery shooting capability moves, can it shoot? 1st bullet on 106 says "Artillery whose battle group moved" may not shoot. Question is whether battlewagons w/ arty capability qualify as "Artillery" under this definition.

2. May a battlegroup providing rear support to artillery declare an intercept charge? If so, does it measure its ZOI from the front edge of the artillery?

Question 1: its a war wagon not artillery. Regardless of what it is carrying it should be able to shoot as normal, so I would say yes it can move and shoot.

Question 2: I went through the rules and can not find anything that would stop you from making an intercept charge, but keep in mind that you can only move straight through from front to back of the artillery so depending on if it has pivoted you might not be facing correctly. All moves are made as if the BG was at the front of the artillery base so you wold measure 2 MU's from the front of the artillery base. Remember that only foot can interpenetrate artillery so trying to sneak out your brave cav boys on that one

Of course I would wonder why you would want to intercept from an artillery support as your enemy has to fight the supporting BG and can not attack the actual gun unless it beat the supporting BG. If you are that worried about them what would make you think intercepting would help the cause at all?

You may want to protect an adjacent unit that is a charge target.

No, because that would involve interpenetrating the artillery, wouldn't it. (Even though the front edges are deemed to be in the same place).

That appears to be correct. (Works for Kutna Hora, albeit prior to the FOGR period).

Fair enough, although given the language used in the text its a bit ambiguous as to whether an interpenetration is actually occuring.

Was not too sure on the artillery thing and my first thought was no you can't but after reading the rules I could not find anything to say otherwise. Perhaps it is a FAQ thing that should be added.

Since were on about rules questions here is one for you:
Dragoons in an enclosed field can get protection if they are entirely in the terrain feature. So if they get charged by mounted for example they can claim the protected foot POA?

The notorious Parliamentarian Poodle hating Lord Blathergut has a nasty habit of picking the smallest enclosed field he can find so my 3 bases of dragoons can't hide in it in a line, one of them has to drop back or risk sticking out and not getting the terrain bonus
