Server-based PBEM

An issue that almost hasn“t been mentioned here is the possibility of including a server-based PBEM system in GS 2.00. Even our main goal in this expansion is to create a more realistic, historic and balanced game we should not forget about this question. People out there will surely find that CEAW GS 2.00 is an amazing strategic wargame but it will be even more attractive for them if a decent security system in PBEM is finally implemented.

    i wish they had a simple lobby type deal, so all the players can enter and then chat-and plan who will vs who and all that. and enter games fairly simple.

    I agree that a server based approach like they have for Battlefield Academy would be great. However; the amount of effort required to implement such a thing is well beyond the amount of time and effort that we give for free as part of our hobby. You're talking at least 400 to 600 hours for coding alone.

    I know that GS is for free and for fun but I also know that CEAW community is bigger and bigger everyday so it is worthy to at least take a look at this. I could collaborate on this in what I can.
