Fifth game - quick note

Graham and I had our fifth game last night: My Late Republican Romans against his Alexandrian Macedonians.
The rules are really starting to flow now, and in the three hours we had at our disposal, we got much further than we ever have before, even when we've had considerably more time.
It was very useful having Hammy on hand, but we only needed to ask him a couple of fairly obscure questions (and just confirm a couple of assumptions we had made - though they are covered by the rules - we just hadn't picked up on them).
I think it's quite telling that when I got home last night, instead of picking up the rulebook to clarify where we had struggled, instead I picked up the army lists, so I could plan what I will field next time we play. I think that's a turning point.
