it would happen if i picked one of my units and highlighted a enemy unit, other times just moving the mouse over a enemy unit this would appear.

I'm not sure I'm following you. Are you taking about the dots in the lower left and right hand corners of the unit icons? If so then the ones on the left show experience level (one dot per level) and the ones on the right by color show entrechment level. I hope I've got it right ... however all this is explained in the change log for the beta releases. I do recommending scanning through it.

no not the experience or entrenchment

in the pic those words you see chase point with some hex coordinates.and a few other pics the attack with coordinates those would appear if i highlighted an enemy unit. But not every unit you would highlight this would appear. By highlighting i mean just moving the mouse over the unit.

I did not type those words they appeared

So i'm wondering what Chase Point and Attack is? with the hex coordinates.

P.S--When i started my game up again, none of these words appeared again, over any of the units.

You wouldn't have happened to have set the debug flag to 1 in the settings.txt file? If you did, then I guess we know what that flag does.

Robert,

I was able to reproduce your chase points and such by setting the DEBUG_AI to 1, (i.e., DEBUG_AI 1) in the settings.txt file located in the *:\My Documents\CEAW Grand Strategy folder. Once I exited the game and changed it back (i.e., DEBUG_AI 0) the chase points and such went away and everything behaved as normal.

Two things:

(1) The settings.txt file that GS uses is the one located in *:\My Documents\CEAW Grand Strategy folder -- and --

(2) GS reads the values in this file on start-up. So even if you end a game, change a value and start another game (without exiting and restarting GS) that other game uses the values that GS read on start-up. You have to exit GS, change a value and then restart it to get it to use a different value in that file.

Actually these types of thread are useful because you can bet down the road someone else will encounter the same thing. I never knew what setting the DEBUG_AI flag to 1 did. Now I do, so I've learned something. :D
