Slitherine

When I select an air unit to attack, say German tac or fighter, circles appear over possible targets.

When I left-click on a target, as the attack is running through, a similar circle appears over another of my own air units in an adj. hex, momentarily.

Is this signifying something? Or is it some little glitch?

Are the other air units if FTR's performing escort or air to air attacks?

umm...don't think so..I have the game saved at that point...let me check again...but no....I hit the Dutch with two tacs and a fighter and each time, if an air was adj, i saw that circle...but it never appeared over ground units...

Hmm...when I attack w the two fighters, yes, enemy fighters kick in and the adj fighters are covering. But it happened with the tacs too...I will see if I can recreate it and let you know here.

Nope...still happens:

a) Attack with fighter: French fighter kicks in; circle around adj. German fighter.
b) Attack same hex again with a second German fighter, two circles appear above adj. German fighters but no enemy intercepts.


It doesn't seem to do anything. The fighters can still be used after the combat.

Or is it showing who could intercept to defend my attack?

I've seen this before. I think it indicates which fighter would intercept if needed. If not, then that fighter is free to perform other duties that turn.

yea same here i just saved my game before off to bed. but i did want to add this too, so from what i read may or may not be a glitch,graphic error. Mine was when i attacked a British FTR. With mine,while both fighters had there usual color boxes around them as they attack, I would notice a cossair type deal on another one of my air units, sometimes other FTR's of mine other times my SAG or tac bombers.
