Assign Generals to command your army.

How?
the blurb details for the game claim you can assign generals. How? does it make any difference?
help greatly appreciated, this is a little gem of a game.

There are generals in Spartan but not in CoW from what I remember.

Generals appeared only in the expansion to Spartan (Gates of Troy) so i am curious where you got that info from (any screenshot?).
Try to keep the units with the most experience in your main armies (higher morale and more effective).
