"Always Evade" as the default setting

Yet again I've forgotten to set everything to "always evade" with a horse archer army...it took 6 of dazzam's auxiliaries impacting my Alan horse archers before I realised....and I risk repetitive stress syndrome turning my 50 archers into cowards......
I suspect that most players play with "always evade" on most of the time.
Can the developers make a small tweak, and set the default at the start of a game for ALL troops that can evade to "always evade"?
Think of all the carpel tunnels that will thank them.....

Hmm, I like the default as is which is evade if likly to lose, hold if stronger (the way the game handled it prior to the new options) A nice neutral middle gound;)
I think automatically having them evade as a default will lead to more "mistakes" since regaular cavalry , superior sword light horse will evade from poor slingers etc, your own troops evading thru your lines can cause havoc too.....
**a good solution would maybe have it a universal setting in the preferances on what you want your default to be....

Would the answer be to add the default evade option to the starting screen where the DM & FOW ones are?

Personally I'd prefer a user preferences option, although an option to set this at the start of the battle (perhaps prefilled from a user preferences option) is good too.

Option to set at the start of the game is best..along with terrain pref etc. I think in time most players will use it and it will save a lot of time. I usually switch all my skirms and bow cav to this option and it's a little cumbersome to have to do it all manually.

I use either always evade or never evade. I never know for sure what my horse archers or LT's will do with the middle option, since it changes a bit with each patch.

I prefer to use the 'evade if likely to lose' option, so keeping that as the default works best for me.

Perhaps the choice if possible should be in perfereces.

An even better (additional) option would be adding multi-select and setting and option from within the game. Then, setting up Always evade for 20 units won't be so hard to do.

Is this a big problem? You have to move units one at a time, so as you go, a single keystroke sets evade status for the whole game, unless you need to change it later.

If you're army has a lot of light a simple choice of evade default at the start of the game would save time (& for those of us with memory problems who forgot to set it BG by BG as they rush their lights forward it's a godsend!).
