Fog of War

In Spartan, it was possible to disable "Fog of War" during Deployment phase of battle by editing Scout Value of all units in Squads.txt (Scout Value=99). As for me, battles without Fog of War became even more interesting because player could better plan his tactics...

Is it possible to disable Fog of War in Chariots of War? That simple trick with Squads.txt obviously doesn`t work there... What formula creates Fog of War in that game?

What effect does changing the scouting have? Its strange it would work for Spartan & not for CoW.

What effect does changing the scouting have?
Well, in Spartan, If Scouting Value of ALL units is 99 or 100, in Deployment phase of battle ALL enemy units are visible (something like "Your scouts were able to locate majority of enemy forces").

Why this thing doesn`t work for CoW, I don`t know.

And one more question: how can I add new units, or edit old ones? For example, if I want to change Hero icon in Gates of Troy by using Chariot icon from CoW instead of it?

The graphics format in CoW is different to Gates of Troy as its 2D to 3D, so unfortunately its not really possible. The "XLS for mods" files explain the basics of how to make changes, but its not very user friendly!

If you add this line to your user.txt file it will show the enemy deployment (in theory!)
