UK Games Expo - 1 day event - Saturday 4th June

Just a headsup to remind people that there will be the usual 1 day 650 point FoG tournament at the games expo again this year. Yours truly will organise as usual but there is at present an upper limit of 32 Players. I would have lobbied for more but the now no longer existing clash with Campaign meant I told the organisers that it would be unlikely that we would have more players this year than last.

The expo website is: http://www.ukgamesexpo.co.uk/bookevents ... tegory=min

Bookings are not open till some time in April.

Are you also looking to include Fog R as it seemed to be well recieved at Stockport? If so, would that not raise the number of potential players? Looking at the site, Sunday seems very light in terms of Miniatures competitions and prospective numbers.

Is this going to be Fog AM only or were you able to convince the organisers about Fog R?

At the moment it is FoG:AM only

We might get FoG:R next year but a lot depends on the timing of the event. I didn't push too hard for FoG:R this year because of the clash with Campaign but then Campaign unclashed and they had already sorted their tournament plans out by then.

Ahh, sorry about that I will sort the info on the website.

I am indeed the list checker for this comp. Please send lists to me hammy@the-riverbank.net

FWIW there are it seems currently 19 players entered which is not too bad.

The bookings system will close at Midnight on the 23rd of this month. Still a little time to book and still 10 places available.

*EDIT* Make that 8 places

Hammy,

For variuos reasons I'm unable to commit to Expo just yet and naturally missed the deadline for Closing. I note however the booking system closed with 6 spaces left for FOG. I know I can get show entrance at the door but what's the deal on picking up one of those available FOG slots at late notice?

Ta,

Steve

Good question Steve, I will check with the organisers.

From my point of view I have no problem with more entries but it may be an issue for them.

OK, I have confirmation from the organisers that it is OK to enter on the door. If you are going to do so please send me a list anyway and let me know you are going to be paying on the door, that way I will have an idea if anyone is missing when we get to kickoff time.

Hi Hammy

I expect you don't suddenly want an extra 20 people turning up on the door with there being a 32 player limit almost reached.

Can you give the latest spaces available in case anyone else wants to slip in.

At the moment only two people have said they may want to enter and have not already done so.

The late entries process will be to send me a list and the first 6 lists received from non paid up players will be in, any after that there will not be room for. Simples
