Java Problem?

Greetings,

I got my computer fixed but now my old version of Slitherine GS 1.00 doesn't work. It loads and is responsive, but I get the "dreaded white screen." I can barely see anything.

My screen resolution is 1280 x 800, but I ran the game in 1024 x 768 and got the same issue. So that's not the problem. I also gave java high priority in task manager, to no effect. Starting with Commander.exe didn't work, so I made a shortcut that accessed java.exe. The target for that shortcut is:

C:\CEaW_GSv1.00\jre\bin\java.exe -Xss20m -Xms400m -Xmx800m -classpath . CEAW 14100

This code worked for me before my computer crashed. Does anyone know why it doesn't work now, or have a possible solution I could try? I appreciate the assistance.

Are you using Windows 7? I remember I had a problem with my old Nvidia card being set to 59 hz instead of 60 hz.

I've seen the white screen before and then I think it was because some folders with game graphics (background folder etc.) weren't present. Have you updated Java on your computer too?

Have you tried the vanilla game? Does it work normally?

Have you tried reinstalling?
