The complete FoG 3rd party scenarios pack v 1.3.0 as of today 2011.03.10

As far as I know, there are no 3rd party scenarios which are not included and not known about in this pack. If any scenario designer founds some of their scenario missing, just drop me a line, in here or in a PM, and I'll add them in the future versions of the pack.

FoG 3rd party scenarios pack v1.3.0

Requests to Slitherine:
- a server for scenarios
- Scenario Editor support (displayed special entries) for:
  • - designer name and ID
    - (automatic) version marking
    - required FoG addon(s)
as at the moment only Scenario Name, Scenario Period, Scenario Complexity (automatic) and Scenario Description entries are visible in the Scenario Editor.

Requests to scenario designers:
- please use the following format for scenario's folder name:
  • <scenario_name>, year BC/AD (<designer_ID>)
    example: Aljubarrota, 1385 AD (PW)
- please use the following format for scenario's archive (containing the above folder):
  • <scenario_name>, year BC/AD (<designer_ID>) [v<scenario_version]
example: Aljubarrota, 1385 AD (PW) v1.0
to put some order in all this mess (with the [] part only until Slitherine will eventually implement their part of requests).

Pack offered to FoG community as getting them all in one place (and specially updating the collection to the latest version of each) it kinda become a nightmare. It will also be updated (and corrected) from time to time.

The archives are marked (ie Aljubarrota, 1385 AD (PW) v1.0) for their respective authors (where the authors was known and had allocated a short scenario designer ID).

All credits go to their respective authors.

Usage

The package contains archives with scenarios or scenario packages (the archive having their name starting with an _ ). Each scenario archive must be unpacked on its own following the indications from this thread.

I might consider making a single archive with everything for the future versions, but there might be too many scenarios in there, and handling them won't be too easy.

Version history:
FoG 3rd party scenarios pack v1.3.0
- moved the zz particle marking deprecated scenarios from the beginning of the name to prefixing the archive file's extension
- added 5 more scenarios (Poitiers, 1356 AD; Crecy, 1346 AD; Kinsale, 1601 AD; Tewkesbury, 1471 AD and Magnesia, 190 BC)

FoG 3rd party scenarios pack v1.2.0
- more cleaning up
- more old scenarios recovered
- new scenarios added

FoG 3rd party scenarios pack v1.1.0
- archive cleaned up
- more scenarios added
- all scenario archives starting with _ are scenario packs
- all scenarios were marked with their respective authors (author names starting with + are author's forum user placeholders)
- all scenarios names starting with zz are deprecated scenarios (announced and/or tested as so), they might be eventually updated by their respective authors
- all scenarios names starting with zzzz are scenarios accepted as official FoG scenarios and can be found directly in the game

FoG 3rd party scenarios pack v1.0.0
Initial release.

Great initiative, cothyso!

Will use the format you requested with my future scenarios.

And SW is OK for me.

Sorry Cothyso but I don't know how to do that (sorry also to sound a little stupid...).

If you explain, I'll be happy to delete my post...

It's all right, apparently, deleting your own posts is disabled on this forum, didn't knew that.

Hi guys,

we do integrate these in to the base game when we can but each one takes some time to check and some have issues or bugs that we have to resolve before we add them.

Basically we have to do a quality control check on them before we officially support them so we are limited to how quickly we can process them.

Sorry Cothyso if this appears pedantic, but wouldn't it be better for Matt to be MAT, and me MA (or even MAX)?

You have some good ideas here, anyway :)

Is not up to me, mate. Thing is, in official scenario lists, both of you appear with MA. Slitherine must decide which for who, I'm fine with any, as long as it will differentiate you. For now, I'll do the change as you've requested it in here: I didn't knew you were actually the Max Attenborough one, so MXA should do just fine for you.

Also, maybe some of you can help me with linking Real names with their respective forum users (as I don't know the community so well).

- Magnesia, 190 BC (+Triarius)

I just noticed that stockwellpete's name is Peter Weller. The actor Peter Weller (Robocop) is now a professor of history. This isn't that Peter Weller is it?

Yes, sorry about the confusion. I registered and then a year or so later I forgot I'd registered so registered again. I only use 'maximvs' now.

My name is Alfonso Nuñez Dopazo, then AN :D

Thanks Cothyso

Only if Nuñez is your family name (last name). Otherwise, I will go with AND.

OK. My name is Alfonso and my surnames are Núñez from my father and Dopazo from my mother, so AND it´s ok :D
