Just popped in to say hello, & thanks for such a great game. Kudos to you all.

I also have a quick question concerning multiplayer. It seems that there is a lack of games going on at the moment. Has it always been this way? I havent participated in multiplayer yet, due to the fear of having my behind handed to me constantly. I only bought the game over the weekend. Are there any other new, or newish players out there willing to give me a match or two so I can get my bearings?

Cheers.

There are actually about 500 games in progress at the moment but the demand for games outstrips supply by so much that as soon as a challenge is posted it disappears.

People much prefer to accept a challenge than issue one and so there are never any open challenges. Try issuing one of your own and see how quickly it is accepted.

This is the only real flaw we have found with the system and have not yet worked out a way to encourage people to issue more challenges!

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

Ah, I see. Righto then. I think I'll take your advice & post a challenge then. Go easy on me whoever accepts it

I too would like to say thanks for a fantastic game. I'm a newish player with a lot to learn but I am really having a great time playing and trying my hardest to win.

I've been having fun playing multiplayer games despite pretty much being soundly beaten every time, guess my opponents must be battle hardened veterans!

Having the chance of a victory against other newish players would be welcome, I will look out for your challenges Deeko :)

As to issuing a challenge myself, I'm not sure why but accepting someone elses challenge seems less of an unknown as it's possible to look them up on the rankings list to hopefully weigh them up as being a suitable opponent. I do agree though, soon after a challenge is posted it disappears, you have to be quick if you want to accept it!

Hi Tankzu

The rankings are a reflection of singleplayer rather than multiplayer progress ... so I wouldn't put much store in them. I don't even show mine ... what a rebel

It doesn't matter if you're playing against an old hand or a newbie. Put some comments in at the end of your turn and most people are happy to reply and, if you ask, give you some hints and tips as you go along. There's quite a few useful threads on here for people starting up ...

If you fancy a game drop me a PM and I'll set one up tonight.

Cheers
