Little Big Men produces some banners for Islamic Armies. They might suit you.

On the other hand if you're looking for historical for the conquest period you'll want to avoid them
In the Osprey "Armies of the Muslim Conquests" there is a page of flags from the Battle of Siffin which was in 657 so are probably a fair indication of the sorts of flags used during the early conquest.

Those flags are pretty easy to paint also.
Hand-painted flags look much better than the pre-printed stuff IMO. The laser printed are too detailed and precise, so they stand out against the painted figure. The trick to painting your own flags is to paint them before cutting and shaping them to the figure. I use graph paper to get the size to match and to keep the design symmetrical on both sides of the flag. You can knock out a couple dozen flags pretty quickly. For more detailed designs, use some high-quality pens/markers for the detail.
Once the flag is painted, cut them out and use thin PVA glue to fold them over the flag pole. After a minute or so, you can bend them to ripple in the wind, and that shape will stay in place one the glue fully dries. Then paint the edges of the flags to match the body and hide the white paper edge.
Here is an example of how these can look:

There's plenty of free flags to print out at:

including 3 pages of islamic flags
