When I launch the game, the first splash screen fails to display properly; as you can see, where the "OK" button is appears outside of the image area for the rest of the screen. I have tried this multiple times, with different desktop setups, but it always looks like this:

Thanks Jim,
Annoying, but good feedback!
It sounds like a launcher bug, we look into it.

It's the same launcher as all the other recent Slitherine games AFAIK. Have you seen this problem in any other games?

Not this particular problem. Sometimes I have a problem with CEAW not displaying properly when I am set at 1280 x 1024, 60 hz. But that is a known Windows 7 issue apparently, according to my friend Stauffenberg. Something to do with the system actually defaulting to 59.9 hz when you tell it to display at 60 hz. Way beyond my comprehension level; I don't know why that happens at all, and I don't know why it affects CEAW that way.
But this issue is a new one for me. I take it that so far I'm the only one who's seen it?

Do you have any desktop settings which might be affecting the sizing? Multiple monitors? It's an issue we have seen a handful of times, but can't find a common thread. Do you scale your desktop icons or have any kind of accessibility settings on?
Cheers

Hi Happycat
We've run the launcher on the machines here at slitherine at different resolutions with different operating systems and the launcher displays correctly. While we try and fix this issue are you graphics drivers up to date? If there not update them and see if this resolves the issue.

Hi Guys
Yes, I'm positive my drivers are up to date.
However, I do scale my icons (as per some of my previous posts, my 61 year old eyes don't like microscopic fonts

)
So it's probably just something in my settings, no doubt.
On a separate topic, but related to eyesight and overall gaming enjoyment: Is it possible to tweak the colour palette for this game a bit? It's a bit drab, and would be nice to see slightly (and I stress slightly) more vibrant colours for the different terrain. But what would be really nice is a higher contrast option for the units themselves, so that they stand out from the terrain a bit more.

Just to update you---I turned off the 125% scaling, and it solved the problem for the splash screen display. Of course now I can't even read what I am typing...

We think it is fixed but you'll have to wait for a new update!

Very good to hear that there may be a solution.
