Musket and sword in melee

What happens if unarmoured bases equiped with musket (or arquebus) and sword (such as Haiduks) fight disrupted armoured oponents (say pike)? They have musket which neutralises the enemies better armour bonus and sword which counts plus against the disrupted opponent, so are they on +1 POA? I think so - but the image of a Haiduk storming foward firing a musket with one hand and stabbing with a sword in the other seems a little too like John Wayne! (though I do realise the factors are a bit abstract and shouldn't be taken quite so literally)

Yes, Swordsmen is useful once the enemy is disrupted. I think sword use would be confined to the Haiduks in front, with those behind firing or perhaps loading for others. Those using swords would already have discharged their pieces or passed them to another to do so.

And ++ on overlaps - which is nice.
As Mike says, no reason to suppose they all draw their swords and throw their muskets to the ground in unison.

I was pretty sure that would be the rationale - but i still like the image of wild Haiduks charging with a weapon in each hand (...and a dagger clenched in their teeth and the wind in their hair).

Well my haiduks were saved from disaster over the weekend against Swedes and Cornish by their swordsmanship, and, in particular, their cheeky overlaps. My Superior haiduk BG managed to carve its way through 2 Superior Cornish pike and shot BGs in the last game.
