you should all be recieving your e-mails with your beta test details soon. The mails contain your personal serial numbers. If you do not receive thw e-mail check your private mesages on thw forum by clicking on the "Private Messages" button near teh top of your screen - it may not flash to tell you there is a new message there but the message is there so just have a look!

The LT beta installs to a new folder - do no install it on top of an existing version! You must have FoG installed on the PC already but do not install to that folder. Shall I say it one more time to be sure! Do not install to the FoG folder, install to a new folder or use the default install path and you'll be fine!

One installed you'll be able to access all the LT armies. Please check them for any errors.

You'll also see the new features related to the DAG games and the preview of the historical maps.

Im getting a Launcher error 'failure to read setup engine". I dont think i did anything out of the usual. I clicked the link, pressed 'run'. then clicked 'yes'.

newish Compaq laptop
intergated graphics
Windows 7

When you download you need to click save to hard drive. Then run the installer after it is downloaded - dont try and run the file directly.

Ok, I saved to desktop, pressed run, pressed yes, and got the same error message.

Hi, downloaded and tryed a scenario (Caesar in Britain) and the game worked fine.
The DAG system also works fine.
Now i see the DAG listes.

Redownloaded, selected 'replace program' when saving to desktop, ran it from desktop, same message

I hope I dont have to sit this beta out. I was looking forward to it.

If it helps, I have the troublesome original edition FOG (launcher?) that had issues several betas ago.

Downloaded fine and installed on its own fine. Game is running fine.

I saved it to my 'downloads' folder instead of desktop and it seem to be downloading now

Downloaded and working; I'm glad to see that you all felt sorry for the plain old FOG users and gave them two DAG armies to play with

As the free DAG armies frome from Rise of Rome there are four new armies/varriations in the RoR DAG! Keith

I signed up late for the beta, so I suppose I didn't make the cut as I have received no notification by email or PM. Is it toolate to be added?

All works fine, great job.

Installed and everything is working fine until now.

installed, one challenge launched and one accepted... funny to be able to choose the map.

Downloaded and installed all without any problems - very smooth.

Will installing it effect existing games? Is it LT independent of 1.4.4 version or is it actually changing the 1.4.4 version? I have not installed the LT beta let trying to figure out if will impact existing games, etc?

Follow Slitherine's instructions. LT beta installs in it's own place and runs distinct from FoG PC 1.4.4.
