So I'm wondering if a small well led border reiver army could be effective in this game
My list would look like this as it stands now

Great Commander - 80
Raider Body Guard (4xASPLH) - 60
Border Horse - (4xUAPLH) - 40
Border Horse - (4xUAPLH) - 40
Light Artillery (1xLA) - 10
Field Commander - 50
Veteran Raiders (4xUSPLH) - 52
Border Horse (4xUAPLH) - 40

You may be overstaffed. LH don't have a huge need for commanders for CMTs, though they do benefit for second and third moves and if being shot at.

An all-LH force relying on shooting is rather expensive per shooting dice it gets to throw and imperiled by foes with substantial shooting of their own. It has nothing threatening - something that can disrupt enemy with a flank or rear charge, though such troops are available on the list. Also some cost-efficient shooters, though they are afoot.

I agree that more beef is required. When writing the list I envisaged players taking a combo of both light horse and cavalry.

Thanks, list is more of a pipe dream anyways....unless I do 25mm, in which case I'd have nobody to play. :(

If I do make it, I'll definitely add some cavalry. I'm probably going to end building the Spaniar instead

If you wanted to Border Reivers in15mm then Feudal castings (lkm) do a reasonable range of useful figures.

Agree not fantastic but do paint up well. I bought some for my Flodden army.
